Evercyte provides assay services and human cell lines as model systems for cell based assays, as production hosts and for therapy applications. Our telomerized human cell lines retain cell type specific functionalities but still divide continuously. This helps replacing, reducing and refining animal trials. We also offer cells for the production of biopharmaceuticals requiring post-translational modifications and urine-derived induced pluripotent cells for autologous therapeutic approaches.

Services:Evercyte establishes relevant, immortalized cells that retain the primary cell functionalities of different donors (healthy, diseased, different age and sex) and of different tissues as well as induced pluripotent stem cells that can be differentiated in hepatocytes, neurons, cardiomyocytes and other cell types. These iPS cells are isolated non-invasively from urine giving the opportunity of getting cells from any consenting individual. All these cells can be used in standardized high-throughput drug screening strategies, for toxicity studies, or for efficacy testing from statistically relevant numbers of donors down to batch release assays. For these assays we are able to deliver the cells pre-seeded in 96 well format as well. By immortalization of cells without changing their in vivo key characteristics, reproducibility of different types of bioassays will be increased. In addition, the cells can be used as cell model system as well in assays ranging from basic research over development up to product and quality control by bioassays: As the cells are immortalized, additional genetic elements can be introduced stably including reporter constructs, zinc-finger, siRNAs, etc Evercyte immortalizes human primary cells retaining the parental characteristics and establishes iPS cells. We produce and deliver • single immortalized cell strains incl. mesenchymal stem cells and urine-derived induced pluripotent stem cells that can be differentiated to the cell type of interest • cell panels incl. cell strains of different tissues and/or donors of different status (healthy, diseased, young, old, etc) for efficient drug discovery or toxicity testing • customer-tailored immortalized cell strains including cells differentiated from human mesenchymal stem cells • Development of in vitro assays and reporter cell lines.
